“Five years after Sandra Bland, it’s a damn shame. It’s a damn shame that we are here. But we are here. And here we will be. And in the words of Stevie Wonder, we all must be given the liberty that we defend. With justice not for all women and men, history will repeat again. It’s time we learn that this world was made for all women and men together.” -- Dr. Michael Nabors, President, of Evanston/North Shore NAACP and Senior Pastor, Second Baptist Church. Evanston Fight For Black Lives March and Rally, May 31, 2020.

As Indivisible leaders, we are committed to listening, educating ourselves, and to taking action in support of organizations and leaders that are fighting for people and communities who are the most impacted by racism and police violence. However, nothing is going to get better in this country unless we get Trump out of the White House, take back the Senate majority from the GOP and help Democrats hold the House majority. No march or protest is going to do that. Voting is our power, and we have five months to do the work to make this happen. Then the work begins to hold Democrats accountable for making tangible changes nationally to show us that they stand behind Black Lives Matter as more than just a campaign platform. We are committed to doing the work, but we need your help. Please take a moment to sign up for one of our actions in this newsletter, or visit our Take Action page and get involved today. Thank you.
