ABOUT INDIVISIBLE
 EVANSTON

IndivEvTshirtfrontOval-01 (4).png

In early 2017, Indivisible Evanston was founded by a group of citizens who were alarmed by the results of the 2016 election and committed to resisting the Trump/GOP agenda.

We are part of a powerful and effective grassroots Indivisible network made up of thousands of group leaders and more than a million members nationwide.

We believe our ceaseless grassroots efforts helped take back the House in 2018, defeat Trump in 2020 and maintain control of the Senate in 2022.  However, we know we cannot rest.

Our goal is to inform, encourage and organize our members and community about important issues, to resist regressive policies, and to promote progressive candidates.

We are also part of the Indivisible Chicago Alliance and Indivisible Illinois.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Indivisible Evanston is:

  • To continue to resist the ongoing threat of MAGA Trumpism to our democracy.

  • To push progressives to make meaningful change in our country.

  • To increase the number of progressive legislators in Congress.

We do not expect our members or our allies to agree on all issues, but we invite those who agree progressive change is needed to work together on issues of common concern. We seek to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, and we are committed to non-violence in all our actions.

The Indivisible Project (501c4) drives coordinated campaigns, powering the grassroots Indivisible movement to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and win an inclusive democracy and bold progressive policies.

Action by action, day by day, group by group, Indivisibles are remaking our democracy.
