Newsletter: April 20-26, 2020

Dear Evanston Indivisibles,

We hope this newsletter finds you safe, healthy, and well, and that you're able to care for and be cared for by loved ones in person or virtually. You showed us that our activism can still make a BIG impact on making change in this country with all the postcards, phone banking and texting we did to reach and help Wisconsin voters in early April.  Thank you for keeping up with our "At Home Activism." Keep taking action with our weekly opportunities we share here, on our Facebook page, and on our websiteWe are so grateful to all of our volunteers for everything you are doing to support our work! Five key messages and actions this week:

1. Happy Third Anniversary to Indivisible Evanston!

  • Three years ago, we had our very first meeting at Reba Place. 200 of you showed up along with great guest speakers, including our Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Daniel Biss, and Alderwoman Cicely L. Fleming.

2. Earth Day 50th Anniversary - April 22!

  • On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, there will be an empowering, inspiring, and communal three day livestream mobilization on April 22-24 called Earth Day Live.

  • Join activists, celebrities, performers, thought leaders, artists and more for an epic moment of community and hope for our future. See details below for more local and virtual activities!

  • Please register for the meeting on SignUp Genius and then we will email you the info to sign up for the meeting on Zoom. Thank you!

As they do for us, we hope that these at home actions help give you a sense of hope and purpose during this pandemic. Be well and hang in there. And thank you again for all your help with keeping voters safe and informed in Wisconsin!

In solidarity and resistance,

Indivisible Evanston Leadership Team
